A puppy with no name, without a mother and without a pack, a street dog who lives hiding in the bushes near some semi-abandoned buildings.

When I saw her for the first time she was just skin and bones, with a belly full of worms, very scared and absolutely distrustful of humans, her only fied point was her sister who on the contrary was much more open to human contact.

Marque and I started spending every single day in December going to visit them, bringing some water and food, but only her sister came to us, she stayed behind as if to protect herself from danger.

One day they suddenly let themselves be picked up, we were so happy because they were finally starting to trust us, we called them Dobby and Gollum because of their funny appearance, with big ears and all skin and bones.

The next day we couldn't believe it, his little sister is hit by a car and dies, so Gollum is left alone and suffers such a shock that for a week she didn’t come out of the bushes even to eat.

With patience and love, every single day I went to her, determined to regain her trust, she followed me but always stayed at a distance. Until slowly one day I finally arrived with my motorbike, she heard me and ran towards me, she let me take in my arms and she hugged me back.

I would have loved to take her with me and take her away, every time I left her she followed me for a while and then go back to hide in the bushes when she realized I was leaving.

I never really thought of adopting an Indian dog, even though I love them all and I spent every day in Mysore taking care of them, because the idea of taking a long trip, by plane... but when two souls find each other, however, no matter where in the world they are, no mater the distance, if love is there, a way to reunite can be found. Thanks to the help of wonderful people with a huge heart, now we are in the process of bringing her to Italy, and if everything goes as we hope, in August I will go to India and take her with me to give her a home, furry friends and the love that she always deserved.
